After the War, and retirement
from a small Advertisement Agency and publisher, I retired and settled
in Florida. Shortly after, I met a girl from Texas who I have never been
able to say "No" to. Since then, Dorris and I have been working as volunteers
for the American Ex-Prisoners of War, and/or a POW Foundation. A great deal of
our time has been working for Military POW Foundation, and the
"Foundation Times," speaking at VA Hospitals,
Schools,
developed and published the Pow News (highlighting "Stalag
17-b) Web Site, (www.pownews.com)
ten years ago....then came "www.WePledgeAllegiance.com"
Dorris
Livingstone also volunteered for three years for the "Military POW
Foundation" working on the Foundation Times Scholarship
program (From 2007 - 2009) and awarded over 100 College Scholarships
to Next of Kin of American Ex-POWS. Each recipient received $2000 each.
We hope to continue for qualified recipients next year also, depending
upon donations
payable only to the
Military Prisoners of War
Foundation.
