We Pledge Allegiance

This is the Time for Entrepreneurs -
"The only thing we have to fear is from within."

Note: I wrote the next two paragraphs in the "Military POW Foundation Times" after the W. H. announced that the "Stimulant" or the Government could "create" two and a half million jobs: Please read.

“We are entering a “Recession,” heading for a “Depression,”.  Our around the clock TV News tells us about our Economy, Politics, and how we are going to “Bailout” big business, banks, loan companies, and some who may have contributed to the cause of the problem… and how the government would create “two and a half million jobs.

“I admire the thought, but if I were you, I wouldn’t wait around for our Government to find a job for you – That’s YOUR obligation!  This is a time for entrepreneurs. If you do find a job, the management may want you to join a “Join a Union,” and/or pay your health insurance. When ONE Union monopolizes several businesses, it's a monopoly. The Owners of the business are more qualified.
                 ---------

After the war, I couldn't find a good job, so I came up with a few ideas of my own. I didn't have much money, so I came out with a News Letter, and since I played a little golf, I started small Golf Publication, then a Golf League. It was tough getting enough advertising, so I came up with another idea. I got the Red Sox. baseball players involved, (in Boston) then Basket Ball, then Hockey. They were great to work with. Soon the news letter became a magazine: "Pro Am Sports, later it was "US Golf News."
During that same period I little by little I ran a small Advertising Agency in New England. I loved every minute of it, probably because my accounts were so varied.
I don't think I could have done it if I was at any other Country. That's what you can do in a country like ours. It's the land of Freedom, and where the Government doesn't tell you what you can and can not do. That's why I like our form of Government, Capitalism.
If you treat the American people honestly, they will do the same to, of course, you have to pay your taxes. But to live in America, in Freedom - that's all I can ask.
If you have a small business, and go broke, no one is going to “bail you out” for free. You have to borrow money and pay interest on what you borrowed. If you can’t keep up the payments you go bankrupt, create another business, or find a job. That’s what
entrepreneurs do. They are the people who  founded the “economic miracle” that made the United State of America the richest country in the world. That is because of our Capitalistic form of business – that’s how this great country grew, with ingenuity - That’s where I found my American Dream! This is why so many people all over the world want to leave Socialism and come to the USA.
Of course, a government owned business has its place, like some nation wide companies that may require national or international control.
