Again Our Freedom Is Being Challenged
Wait until John Adams reads this!

This time it will not not be Thomas Jefferson who will save our Freedom.
Who then will have the courage?

Not since that day in the 1700's when the first American began crying out for Freedom, thousands screamed their dissention or rebellious outcries...As King George introduced more demands on the Colonies, the more the Colonies demanded freedom, and Thomas Jefferson went on feathering the words of the Continental Congress in one historical masterpiece, the Declaration of Independence.

Somehow it seemed almost ordained that

John and Abigail Adams would leave
These two essays to remind themselves - and now
All Americans

“It has been the will of Heaven,” the essay began,”

that we should be thrown into existence at a period when

the greatest philosophers and lawgivers of antiquity

would have wished to live…a period when a coincidence of circumstances without example has afforded to thirteen colonies at once

an opportunity of beginning government anew from the foundation

and building as they choose.  How few of the human races

have ever had an opportunity of choosing a system of government

for ourselves and their children? How few have ever had anything

more of choice in government than climate.?”

“There are times in which a genius would wish to live. It is not in the still calm of life,
or the repose of a pacific station, that great characters are formed.
The habits of a vigorous mind are formed in contending with difficulties.
Great necessities call out great virtues.
When a mind is raised, and animated by scenes that engage the heart,
then those qualities which would otherwise lay dormant,
wake unto life and form the character of the hero and the statesman."

          Who would that be?
